CRIMSON PHOENIX CLUB MEMBERS MAKE AND DONATE FLEECE BLANKETS.

Community clubs are part of a long-term care network, providing support and a home away from home to its members. They offer a warm and friendly setting for individuals who may be experiencing emotional difficulties or mental health issues. Club members receive the necessary support through daily appointments, support groups, advocacy, life skills building, and referrals to additional services as needed.

Club members participate in a wide range of activities and social outings, including art, cooking, music, games, team building, and more.

This was the case at the Crimson Phoenix Club, where members made and donated ten fleece blankets and crocheted throws to the Ruth House in Malone. Members of the club make the blankets on a regular basis,

and in the past have donated them to Alice Hyde Medical Center and the Alice Center. The Ruth House provides transitional housing and supports to women and children confronting domestic violence, addiction, or mental health issues.

This photo was taken shortly before COVID, which is why no one is wearing a mask.

Although Wayne has limited mobility and expressive communication, he appreciates motorcycles and all things biker related. This includes the do-rag he wears on his head, the Harley stickers adorning his wheelchair and of course, tattoos.

That step started her down a recovery path
